We firmly believe that now is a time of opportunity for the next generation of offshore wind projects:

1. Costs are coming down. New wind turbine and foundation suppliers are increasing competition and reducing costs, wind turbine unit capacities are continuing to increase, technology is being standardised and the supply chain is learning from successful deployments.

2. Scale is required. Digitalisation and electrification are creating large scale electricity demand that is best met by gigawatt scale and high capacity factor offshore wind.

3. Land use conflict is increasing. More onshore projects are being delayed due to stakeholder opposition and climate change is increasingly putting pressure on terrestrial infrastructure.
